Schoolboy Q Concert at Best Buy Theater

March 3rd, 2014 // Schoolboy Q performed at Best Buy Theater in NYC on his first headlining tour, even-though his debut album, Oxymoron, was released only a week prior. For some artist this may have been a huge burden to bear but, for Schoolboy it seemed to be a heterodox approach in engaging the audience. Fans rapped right alongside him in anticipation to be seen quoting the newly released verses and everything preceding the freshman album. 

 Performing songs from all of three projects, featured verses from scattered singles and classic hip-hop, Schoolboy Q gave a great energetic performance. In the midst of the great energy one felt a cumbersome weight come over the rapper after being told mulitple special guest who were expected to appear can no longer join him on stage. Nonetheless, his performance was gratifying and full of weed smoke just how I like it!
