If you do not know, I am a huge OF fan and have been anticipating the release of new music from Earl Sweatshirt for quiet some time. I was satisfied with "Chum" which was a personal and emotional song about growing up in the suburbs and being one of the few black people, not having a father around and being smarter than most of your classmates but still was a delinquent.
Just last night, Earl give us something that was nothing less than his best. "WHOA". A glimpse of the old Earl which is relative, being that he is only 18 years old. It sounds more like what he gave us on first LP "EARL," which to me is one of the best freshman album/mixtapes of all time. It's reminisce of a gritty adolescence that knows more about life than most adults but still has an immature side.
